No beach today

On Sunday we caught the cardi bach to Penmorfa just the other side of Penbryn. There's a bridleway there that goes to the cliff path so we went along the top of the cliffs until we came to a field of cows and not wanting to disturb them we came back to the beach at Penbryn which I WASN'T ALLOWED TO GO ON because only people without furry furends are allowed on it in the summer. GRRRR. so instead of getting my furs wet in the sea I had to go across a broken wooden bridge to get to the woodland walk. My silly leg with my new boot on got stuck down a hole in it and I fell over but She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed helped me out and I don't think anyone saw. Then there were steps. Lots of uneven wooden steps not really designed for pooches with silly legs but I conquered them. Yes furends I climbed them to the top. After a muddy path through the trees we came to more scary steps going down and down and down, very tricky when your back end wants to bounce down quicker than your front end but once again I was triumphant and at the bottom there was a cool drink waiting in the stream. We went to see the falling waters before, yes you guessed, more steps going upwards but I am invincible and reached the car park ahead of She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed. We had to wait a while for the bus and the cafe was shut but the man who owns it had been walking his dog and he let She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed  have a cup of tea before he turned the machine off and said any time we got there after it shut just to ask for a tea if they were still there which was very good of him.

An afternoon with Bella

Bella is back in Tresaith for a few days and this afternoon her people came to take us for a walk. We decided to show them the walk near Cwmtydy that we've been on a few times lately. It was really good today because we didn't have to get back for the bus and we could go all the way to the beach.
We showed them the falling waters, then we went onto the beach. I went into the stream and had a real struggle to catch up with everyone and had to fight my way through really thick brambles. She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed said I should have followed the stream to the beach instead of trying to get through but how was I to know that was where they were going?
The beach is usually quite small and stony but the tide was out further than it's ever been before and we discovered another beach next to it. There was a fantastic cave and some really interesting rock formations and even some sand!

Happy Easter.

Happy easter efurybody.
We had a lazy day in the garden yesterday and today we went on a big adventure to Cwmtydy. The little local bus for walkers,the Cardi Bach has started running again. The company that ran it lost the contract last year and we have been without it over winter but now the company that runs all our buses has taken it on so we thought we better make use of it in case we lose it again.
It was a long time on the bus, nearly an hour each way but it goes all round the little lanes to all the isolated villages. It was only a little mini bus and besides me there were two other dogs on board and lots of people . All the seats were full! We had an hour walking round the woods at Byrlip before we had to come back again. We were on the edge of the sea mist which came in yesterday afternoon and has been hanging round ever since. Our house is above it but we could see it hanging round Aberporth while we were waiting for the bus.

My barkday week I

I've had a really pawsome week, we started off on Monday getting the bus to Llanina woods. She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed put my boot in her pocket in case i needed it and a scarf in case I needed help walking if we went too far, how embarrasing I haven't come to that yet. 

First off I had to cool the paws after walking along the road from the bus stop. 

Then there was this really interesting hole to be investigated. 

She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed thought the snowdrops look pretty but I don't think that there's much point to them really. 

Now here's an interesting smell

I can still pop a jump, maybe not as many as I used to. ..

on Tuesday we got the bus to The Top of the World were you can see all round 360degrees . Possibly not the best day to go to such an exposed spot, that big black cloud decided to drop a load of hailstones on us as soon as we got off the bus. 

Luckily they didn't last long,

and the sun came out before we got the bus back. 

  Wednesday was my Barkday and I got prezzies which you've already seen then in the afternoon we went to the beach at Aberporth. Thursday we went across the fields, didn't do much on Friday but today I had a party on the beach at Poppit with Tansy, Sooty and Simon. 

Then everyone came back home with us and had dinner. Auntie Ann gave me a humungous bone and Simon chased Smudge out of the garden! 

Happy barkday to me

Yesterday was my barkday. I does be 9 now. I got prezzies. ...a giggly ball, a puzzle game with noms hidden in it and noms to put in it. When the postieman came he left me a speshul parcel. It was from my dad's people, it was my dad's boots! His legs went all silly like mine are going and sadly he has crossed that rainbow bridge now so his people thought I might be able to use them. Thank you they are really cool and look like the trainers that humans wear. I don't need to wear them yet but they will be a big help later on. Today when the postieman came I went to thank him for bringing the parcel but he ran away!
