Last walk

Holly went to her forever home last night. We had a text this morning to say she settled alright and the children love her so that is good.
We took her for a walk across the fields to Dead Man's Gulch the day before. We didn't know then that it would be our last proper walk with her as we weren't expecting her to go till nearer Christmas but it is better this way .She needed to be in her proper home.
She doesn't mind walking through wet grass but she doesn't want to go in to the water!
Bye bye Holly. Have fun in your new home. We will still see you sometime.

Witches cauldron

Hi furends, Auntie Jane took us in her car this afternoon to Ceibwr and we walked along the cliff path to the Witches Cauldron. It was a very scary path as it was right on the very edge of the cliffs and there were big rocks sticking out of the water.
I's very honoured because Auntie Jane doesn't take us furry people in her car.

Splish splash

This is the walk we do when She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed is lazy over lunch and doesn't feel like going very far. There is a lovely big splashing place on the corner which is just filling up again after the dry summer, it's not deep enough to get my furs properly wet but if I get it right I can splash water over the top of She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed's boots! Tee hee.
We play findit with my rubber ring as well. She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed hides it in the long grass and I sniff it out. Sometimes I pretend I can't find it so she doesn't get bored with the game and think it's too easy for me, but I always find it in the end!

A walk with Holly

Holly has started coming on proper walks with me now. I have to take special care of her because she is only staying with us until she goes to her forever home at Christmas. She has a pretty little pink lead for walking round the block but I lent her my long tracking lead so she can run in the field without getting lost.

Another Windy Day On The Beach

Yesterday was really cold, ,wetand windy and really miserable with hailstones and every thing so we didn't do a lot but today we went to the beach even though it was still quite wild and windy. The sea was wild and there was a load of stuff blown up on the beach. We found a poor headless baby seal as soon as we arrived. I went in the surf and we had the beach to ourselves.
We never seem to stay long enough. .....

Play time

Holly won't leave Smudge alone. I think they're playing as there isn't any blood but I do have to stop them sometimes when Smudge gets a bit carried away.

Look my owee is better!

I had an owee in my leg on Friday. I think I twisted my elbow when the posteeman tried to leave nasty papers for She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed. I've only been allowed short lead walks since then but this morning we got the bus down to feed the horses and I was allowed a run round the field and it didn't hurt. I managed to get my furs wet in some muddy puddles but the rabbitties were all hiding.

This was our walk yesterday. We got the bus to Patch and instead of walking our usual way home we took the coast path along the river to Cardigan. Here are some of the scenics along the way.
The ruins are the abbey at St.Dogmaels across the river and the funny boat is an Indian restaurant the smells made my mouth water, I was very hungry after all that walking but we went right past without stopping and got the bus home . But I had a big bowl of meat and biccies when we got back.
