A Pawfect Day

Today the sun was shining and the sky was blue although it was very cold. Anyway She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed was doing things in the kitchen and I was wondering why we were wasting such a lovely day when Auntie Beryl arrived with Tansy and Sooty. Well I haven't seen them for absolutely ages so I was well excited. Then we got into her dogmobile and went to Poppit which is one of my favourite beaches. And guess what, Auntie Ann was there with Simon.

Here we all are having a hoolie on the beach, except Simon who was hiding round Auntie Ann because he doesn't like me very much.

There was a flock of Canada geese on the river, if you biggify the piccie you can see them. They are really noisy, even more noisy than She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed telling me to be gentle with Simon. Honestly I'm only trying to teach himto play German Shepherd games.

Here I am with Tansy investigating this patch of marram grass. Simon is still staying close to Auntie Ann

Here he is jumping up at her trying to get her to protect him. I really don't want to hurt him I just want to play.
After our walk everyone came back home with us and had lunch at our house. Simon showed me his teeth several times which I thought was very rude of him but as he was a guest in my house I ignored them and just walked on past.

Auntie Ann kept him on the sofa next to her and he played with Sooty.

Then Sooty came and played with me

Isn't he cheeky?

A grey grizzly day.

Yesterday was all grey and grizzly. I told She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed that it was no good sitting indoors wondering if she was well enough to take me for a decent walk the only way she'd find out was if we got on and did it so I got her walking string and we went round the tower track. This is not my favourite walk but Smudge needed pesky cat food and we could stop off at the shop on the way back. It takes about an hour which is only half of what I consider a proper walk but it was better than nothing, , andI do get to get my paws muddy and my furs wet.
Here are the photies we took along the way.

It's a dog's life.

Had a quiet day yesterday. She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed was feeling better, no more tummy sploshions but there was a bitter wind blowing so we didn't do much except dream of walks to come.

Are you feeling better today mum?

She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed has been feeling a bit pawly today. There were lots of expoosions and tummy splosions and she kept disappearing into the room she likes to go in WITHOUT ME where there's a giant water bowl with a lid that NO ONE is supposed to drink out of .
She managed to stagger downstairs to give me and Smudge our breakfast two hours late and then colasped back to bed. Well I was well worried by now I mean she always has a cup of tea when we have our breakfast and reads for a while before getting up and doing that yoghurt thing. ...maybe that's what upset her she didn't do it this morning anyway just went back to sleep! I spent all morning on guard but when Auntie Gill who lives with my friend Cai came round I thought I'd better let her in. She made She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed a cup of tea and let me out. I came back in pretty quickly just to keep an eye on things but then she put my walking rope on and tried to take me off. Well I wasn't having any of that. I'm not leaving my mum on her own when she's feeling pawly I wouldn't go out of the gate
She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed sometimes jokes about ending up like the old lady Bridget Jones worries about ending up like. ..all alone and eaten by Alsations. Please get better soon mum, I DON'T WANT TO EAT YOU.

People are strange

What is she doing? She says it's something called 'yoghurt? !!'. She says it's helping her get fit again after falling off Sara in June. I think she would get fitter taking me for a decent walk.
I thought yoghurt was something you ate. I like that yoghurt this one is silly.

An Early Morning Walk

This was my before breakfast walk this morning. We went out really early before the sun was up!She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed said we'd go out early before the day got sabotaged like it did yesterday!
Anyway I had to put her on the walking string through this field cos there does be sheep in here. Although they be silly things they be better than the cows with big pointy horns on their heads. We don't go in here when they are here. They were here for a long time this year and we didn't get to get any elderberries to make thedrink that makes She Who Must Be Obeyed act silly.

We got past the sheeps so I let her off the walking string

Here's my stream where I get my furs wet.

Come on mum keep up.

Look the sun is just getting up and prettifying the trees the other side of the valley

I can see the sea.

That's Dead Man's Gulch down there where I nearly couldn't get off the beach once because I jumped off a rock that was very high and I couldn't climb back up. She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed had an awful job to get me up and the dolphins came to help. We don't go down there any more in case I get really trapped. There weren't any dolphins today.

We crossed this bridge over the falling waters.

The sun said good morning as we went through this gate

Another gate into the magic wood and then we are back in the field with the sheep and nearly home for breakfast.

Sun sea and Bella. (And a bit of rain)

Yesterday after we had fed the horses we went on the cliff path and 'Hey mum we're going the wrong way' but we weren't. Instead of going home across Aberporth beach we went to Tresaith. The tide was out a bit more than last time we were there but not a lot. We saw the baby falling waters one end of the beach and the BIG falling waters the other end of the beach. Some one had left a fishing net spread out on the sand to catch fishes and unwary dogs but although I luv the water I is no dog fish and it wasn't about to catch me!
Then as we was walking back across the beach who is this coming on the beach. It's my furrend Bella. 'Hi Bella, come and play'.we had a great time playing in the water then it started to rain and we went back to Bella's place for water and noms (thank you Bella) and Bella's mum drove us home in her dogmobile.
