Drying Off

We got caught in the rain while we were out today, so when we got home we had to get dry again. After I had had a rub down with my special towel She Who Think She Must Be Obeyed got out the hair dryer to dry her hair. I LOVE it when she uses it, it blows all warm air over me and makes me all fluffed up, I just had to jump on the bed to help.
Please excuse the quality of the following photies

Feeling Better

Thankyou for your best wishes for Finn. You'll be pleased to hear that he is taking his medicine like a good boy and eating small meals of tinned dog food, but not kibble. He had two short walks today and this evening started throwing his squeaky ball at me and sitting with his head in my way while I was trying to watch TV, so he is starting to feel better. It has been very strange not having him bark every time someone walks past the house.

Poorly Pooch

I've been a really poorly pooch today. when I went to the vet yesterday he said I mustn't have anything to eat or drink for 12 hours, I was soooo thirsty I sat by the back door all night trying to get to the waterbutt in the garden as there was no water in my bowl. When She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed finally let me have a drink I blurped it all back up again.

Don't I look sorry for myself.

Please let me have a drink.
Can you see were I blurped on the carpet?
 I feel sooo miserable.
We went back to the vet this morning and guess what, the hungarian visla we met on the beach yesterday was there aswell! He didn't look very happy either.
I had my tummy shaved and had a scan (no I'm NOT having puppies!), they couldn't see anything there so I had a bloodtest but all that showed was that I was dehydrated!!!!!!!! In the end I had another needle stuck in me-I was VERY brave- antibiotics this time and was given a weeks supply of antibiotics to take home with me. I can have lots of small amounts of food and drink. I don't want food, but I do want a drink.
The first drink got blurped again, but I'm managing to keep water down now, please don't feed me yet though.
I spent the afternoon laying quietly in the garden in quiet places.
 Can you see me ?

I hope I feel better tomorrow.

Easter Saturday Walk

It's been a really exciting day today, Peter came round with Auntie Ann this afternoon and we went to Penbryn in the camper van.

Come on, hurry up the beach is this way.

Come on Mum, never mind the photies, let's get to that beach down there.
 We're here!
Come on Peter, let's go paddling in the sea.
Peter likes digging holes in the sand.
How far down are you going to dig Peter?
I found Stonehenge, I thought it would be bigger than this though.
We found our very own paddling pool.
 Isn't it fantastic.
We turned round to go back. Isn't Penbryn beach great, it's about 11/2 miles long, if you catch the tide right you can walk all the way to Tresaith, but we've never done that as not only do you have to be careful not to get caught by the tide but there's nasty quicksand which can grab you and suck you in if you's not very careful.
Look at this, the tide has never been out this far before. you can usually not quite get to the second cave, but today you can go to a whole new beach.
Look at this rock on the new beach, there's lots more caves too.
 Hey, wait for me.
I'm the king of the castle!
That was as far as we could go on the new beach, so we turned round to go back again. We went back on the road instead of through the woods, and we were nearly back at the car when I blurped up a load of nasty, salty water. Luckily I was very good and didn't blurp in Auntie Ann's van but when I got home I was very thirsty and kept drinking and blurping big lakes of water all over the floor! She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed was getting very worried and running out of towels to mop it all up and I was still blurping 4 hours later so we phoned the vet and Auntie Joanne took us to see him and he stuck a nasty needle in me to stop me feeling sick and said I mustn't eat or drink anything for 12 hours! He weighed me as well and I weigh 51.7 kilos. I didn't blurp in Auntie Joanne's car either.
Two car rides in one day....WOW aren't I lucky!

TREMAIN WOODS

Well, the spare room is looking more like a study than a rubbish dump again and She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed can get to the computer and resume her duty as my secretary and carry on with the important task of keeping my bloggie up to date!
While we have been away I have had my 6th barkday. Yes I'm 6 now, I know I don't believe it either I still feel like a pup. We went for a walk along the cliff path to Tresaith and I had a HUMUNGOUS bone.

Yesterday was REALLY windy and cold but today the sun was shining and She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed said 'We'll go somewhere different today, let's get the bus to Tremain Woods and see if the bluebells are out yet'. Well I don't go much on bluebells (I get told off for treading on them!), but I do like Tremain Woods.
We have to be very good and keep to the path going across this field 'cos there do be crops growing there and we mustn't put our paws on them and squash them or the farmer will be very cross and say we mustn't go there anymore. In the distance you can see the Preselli mountains.

We were too early  for the bluebells, but the blackthorn is in bloom,
and the celendines,
and just a few bluebells, we think they are the english ones and not the spainish invaders because they have bendy heads and don't stand to attention.
We went across this scary bridge that wobbled as we walked on it.
And found these bullrushes, look at the cottonwoolly stuff on them.
I just love this lake but I'm not allowed to go in it!

Come on hurry up, look what's up here,
look at these nesty places, I wonder who lives in them. They don't look very safe.
Here is Trewindsor Mill, There's a new house, but the old mill is in ruins.
There's the old waterwheel and I'm having a shake in the water.
Gosh I needed that drink.
