Wow, Mum finally let me get my paws on MY blog today because I was so FEDUP last night.I was really NEGLECTED. Mum went to the Hunt Ball and left me ON MY OWN in the evening. The evening is my time for doing special things like 'Find It'. Mum hides one of my toys while I wait outside the room until she tells me to find it, then I rush in and sniff EVERYWHERE until I find it.
I'm really good at that.

Is it under here?

Sometimes we do 'Trievies' in the hall and sometimes to make it really fun we have jumps for me to go over to get my toy.

Here I come.
Sometimes we just practice our stays which is a bit boring really, but at least she's THERE not off playing ball with LLannwnen Hunt (whoever he is).Really you should have seen what she was wearing- how can she expect to play ball in a dress like that? She'll trip over the bottom of it and I daren't think what will happen at the other end! And the shoes were positively dangerous. She takes lots of pictures of me, but I wasn't allowed to take one of her to show you how silly she looked. AND she didn't get home until 3 o'clock this morning, she never plays ball with ME until that time.
But I was VERY good despite being ABANDONED. I looked after the house while she was out, I washed the cat's food bowls and cleared the litter tray, as well as making sure Smudge and Tara behaved themselves.

Anyway I think she felt bad about leaving me because today she let me watch K9 on TV. I think Jerry Lee is real cool, but Mum says he's a bad influence. Then we went to one of my favorite places for a good run this afternoon.

Me at Patch.
Brrr, it's cold in the water.
I went swimming and chased sticks and found an old football and a boy played with me, then I helped Mum collect firewood then we went home and I had my dinner.
I might just forgive her for leaving me all alone last night after all she doesn't do it very often.

Finn was very excited yesterday, he had an e-mail from his dad! Rebel went to a new forever home soon after Finn came to his forever home here and we lost touch, but Rebel's new Dad found Finn's blog and got in touch and now Finn is looking forward to seeing his dad again!

Welcome to the blog Rebel.

Going back to work this week was a bit of a shock to the system! Finn had a boring morning on Tuesday as he couldn't come with me to my farm as the farm dogs get upset there if he is in the car, but we made up for it in the afternoon and this morning when we had our nice little farm on the far side of the Presellis. As you all probably realise by now we love the mountains, especially in winter when there are no sheep about. Yersterday we walked from the carpark on the Haverfordwest road back towards Crymych, usually Finn loves going 'skitterdog' through the boggy pools and getting covered in gooey black mud, but yesterday they were all frozen solid. The local hunt had been out on foot in the morning and we met a couple of people looking for a pair of hounds which had gone missing, as we were walking the hills were ringing with the sound of the horn calling them in, eerie.

This morning we stopped at the same carpark and walked up to the viewpoint on the other side of the road on Foel Eryr.

Therewas lots of slippery ice on the path.

Have we come all that way Mum?

Wait for me.

Look you've dropped something.

I'll fetch it for you.

Here they are

On the way home we stopped to take some pictures from Cardigan Bridge.

Cardigan is only a couple of miles from the sea and the river is tidal here so it must be quite salty. I've never seen it frozen before, although I've been told it froze completely in 1963.
Funny no one has mentioned global warming since New Year!

Cwmtudu Walk

It was another lovely cold, bright, sunny winter day today so we paced up a picnic lunch (a flask of turkey stew) and went to Cwmtudu for the day. As you can see there was a good frost and even the stream on the beach was freezing. Here are some of the photos we took along the way.
'What's all this white stuff?'

Finn looks a bit puzzled by the ice on the stream.

'Look at the icicles behind me mum'.

'Here I come'

Crymych to Bedd Arthur

We spent a day in the mountains walking from Crymych to Bedd Arthur, (reputedlyKing Arthurs grave). It was a beautiful day but very cold, just how winter should be. Finn loves the wide open spaces were he can RUN and RUN and RUN, unfortunately there are sheep and ponies grazing free in the summer so we can only go in the winter unless finn stays on the lead which neither of us enjoy very much. Here are some of the pictures we took enroute.

Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.

Christmas has been and gone again, the prezzies have all been given and recieved and the turkey has all been eaten. We hope everyone has had a really good time and that 2009 brings everything we all want.

Finn and the cats had lots of really cool prezzies, although Tara true to form stayed out of the way until they were all opened andthen stalked in with disaproving look on her face! Finn's favorite prezzie was a cuddly Lapwing which is supposed to make a proper lapwing sound, although I've never heard one say 'Pickmeup aargh pickmeup'!

He also liked the treats to go in his Kong, although he prefers wizzy cream or pate

My son Scott, Laura his girlfriend, her mother and brother came to dinner Chrstmas day and Finn helped to pull the crakers although he thought the dinner looked more fun than wearing a silly hat!
