Another adventure on the bus.

Yesterday we went to Newport. This was a big adventure because apart from Mother's Day when Scott took us it was the first time we'd been there in 6 YEARS! !! ! We had to get 2 busses again and when we got on the second one I didn't know where we were going! We got there in time for lunch. She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed had brought noms for us but she took ages to eat hers I told her to hurry up cos we be wasting good walking time. So she put my walking rope on so she could enjoy her lunch in peace. ...well really! !!!
When she finally finished we set off along the estuary and across the sand dunes to the big beach. I had a good run and a splash in the sea before we made our way back along the beach.
Well guess what. We missed the bus back! I had told her she took too long eating lunch. She said it didn't matter because the next one linked up with the bus in Cardigan so we walked along the river and saw a humongous fish from the bridge and read about the old castle (which we didn't know about)  on a plaque. We took a picie so you can read it too. Then we went back to the bus stop . There were lots of walkers waiting. .14. .would we be able to get on the bus? Would there be room? It was very worrying.
And guess what. ..The bus was 15 minutes late so we missed the connection in Cardigan. Luckily there was one more but we had to wait 40 minutes for it and it was THE LAST BUS HOME.
We got home at 7oclock after leaving at midday. It was a very long day but we enjoyed ourselves. But next time I'll make sure She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed doesn't take so long eating!
(Or maybe we won't walk so far! )

Ceibwr

We had another adventure today. I knew something was going to happen when She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed started packing our lunch in the rucksack but we had to wait till almost lunch time before we could catch the bus. We had to get two buses again today and two other dogs got on after me, we all sat together at the front by the driver so we could tell him the way. We got very worried when we didn't get off at Poppit but I was going to the garden centre at Moylgrove and then on to the beach at Ceibwr and the others were going on to Newport.
There was a big scarecrow made of flowerpots telling us when to get off and pointing the way. There was a big festival of scarecrows a few weeks ago and there was a trail to follow to see all the scarecrows but we didn't have time to see how many were still about.
She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed wanted to get some bulbs for the garden in the garden centre before we went on our walk. I was allowed to go in with her and said hello to the dogs who live there. It's a very dog friendly place and they've made a walk through the woods down to the beach where we stopped for noms.
After we had our lunch we carried on to the top of the cliffs before we made our way back along the woodland walk to Moylgrove to catch the bus and guess what, my one of my friends I met on the way there was on the bus already. And a little spaniel was sitting under one of the seats next to me.
When we got back to Cardigan we had to wait an hour for our connection home.

Poppit

Today we went to Poppit, we haven't been there for ages. I went in the river and we watched the geese flying over to their feeding grounds. Then we came back through the sand dunes and I played 'find it' with my rubber ring. We had to go on two buses to get there. The first one was smaller than the usual one and went round lots of little country lanes and I kept sliding across the floor when we went round corners.

Raft race

Well we're back from our not as much walking as we meant to do holiday. More about that when She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed gets round to sorting photos. But here we are in time for the annual Aberporth raft race were the local idiots.....I mean inhabitants ......build unseaworthy vessels out of rubbish and paddle out to sea round a couple of buoys and back again. There was a race for the boys one for the girls and another for the children. There was one powered by a push bike which didn't get started before it capsized a few more capsized and one rather impressive looking one didn't finish until the second race was finishing!

When the sheep are away the dog will play.

The sheep are gone from the field at the end of our road so we can go in there again. We had a real fun afternoon today. We did trievies with my favourite rubber ring and I practiced my long jump across the ditch in the middle of the field. Then we played search and rescue were She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed makes me wait while she hides my ring amongst the reeds and I have to go and rescue it before the Marsh Monster gets it . I like that game . I'm very good at it

Sorry folks, there's not been a lot to write about on my bloggie lately. She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed fell off her horse and got a big OWEE in her leg so we haven't been very far but we are meant to be having a walking holiday next week. How can we go on a walking holiday if She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed can't walk? So I told her to take an owee killer and get her leg working again and take me for a decent W.
We got the bus into Cardigan and walked along the old railway line ( which was closed in the 60's when Beeching closed lots of railways) to the wild life park. She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed has to stay on her leading rope but we used our long tracking line so her limpy leg didn't slow me down.
